Carl Zeiss Receives Robert Bosch Supplier Award for the Second Time

MAPLE GROVE, Jul 28 - Carl Zeiss Industrial Measuring Technology announced today that it has been honored with the Bosch Group's Supplier Award for the second time. Bosch presented its 2005 Supplier Award to the German-based manufacturer of industrial metrology equipment for its outstanding performance in quality, costs and delivery reliability during 2003 and 2004. The award also recognizes the company's dedication for continuous development and its technology potential.

Werner Gerstner, Head of Sales for Germany at Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, emphasized the significance of this award: "Being honored by Bosch a second time underscores the continuity of our work. It goes without saying that everything centers on high-quality metrology, but at the same time, customer satisfaction is another top priority for us. Ensuring our position as market leader in metrology requires both - simply put, you can't have one without the other."

The Carl Zeiss Group offers products and services for the three strategic growth areas of biosciences and health care, consumer goods and systems solutions for industrial markets. The group is structured as six business units that operate with sole responsibility and are generally ranked first or second in their markets. The company is represented in more than 30 countries and operates production facilities in Europe, North America, Mexico and Asia. In fiscal year 2002/2003 the global workforce of approximately 14,150 employees generated revenue of 2.029 billion euros. Further information is available at www.zeiss.com.
