POINT OF ROCKS, MD - Canam Steel, a major North American fabricator of construction systems, has announced the launch of a new product line, VertiSpace, for the design and manufacture of custom engineered mezzanine systems in the U.S. storage and distribution market. VertiSpace delivers cost-effective mezzanine solutions with enhanced design flexibility, more reliable delivery, and reduced shipping costs over its established competitors.
VertiSpace is supported by Canam's four U.S. manufacturing facilities, strategically located to provide production of key components used in mezzanines, such as joists, girders, and corrugated B-deck. Canam's fabrication facilities offer innovative component engineering and automated manufacturing, allowing added design freedom to the customer without added cost. And due to Canam's regional locations, VertiSpace can compete more aggressively on shipping costs than any other provider delivering from a single plant. VertiSpace's team includes regional sales management, engineering and production staff who have worked in the design and delivery of thousands of mezzanine projects, from simple to complex, over a span of twenty years.
Canam manufactures products for commercial, industrial and residential construction as well as bridges and large scale projects. The company is a subsidiary of The Canam Group, with 12 plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico with approximately $711 million in sales in 2005.
