CT Wire Forming Plants Host Wire Fabricators Association Tours

Mystic, CT September 17, 2010 - Acme Wire Products Co. Inc., a Mystic-based wire forming specialist, is pulling out all the stops to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year.

In fact, Acme Wire Products will be one of the stops later this month when it hosts a tour for members of the Wire Fabricators Association, which holds its annual meeting in Mystic Sept. 23 and 24.

The wire forming facility tour will include CNC stamping, fabrication and forming, robotic welding equipment and conveyorized powdercoating and fluid bed finishing lines.

"Hosting the tour for the Wire Fabricators Association gives Acme Wire Products the opportunity to showcase our capabilities along with allowing the membership to experience the unique character that Mystic offers," said Michael Planeta, Acme's VP Operations and a past WFA president.

In addition to the tour, Acme Wire Products will host a picnic and lobster bake on its grounds for attendees of the annual meeting, which is being held in New England for the first time.

Other event activities include a cruise down the Mystic River on the steamship Sabino, as well as discussions on the latest economic trends, equipment updates and a tour of wire fabricator Apco Products and sister company, Goal Sports of Essex, CT, which makes goalposts.
