CIVCO to Highlight Comprehensive, Not Complicated Motion Management Solutions at AAPM 2013 Annual Meeting
CORALVILLE, Iowa – CIVCO Medical Solutions will highlight its comprehensive motion management solutions at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, August 4-8, booth #1115.
CIVCO's team of motion management experts will demonstrate how these solutions simplify the clinician's workday and improve workflow and efficiency between imaging and treatment. Additional treatment solutions for head & neck, breast, lung, abdomen and prostate will also be spotlighted on the company's new interactive disease site touchscreen displays.
-Â Universal Couchtop™ Long Extension
The Universal Couchtop Long Extension (UCT LE) provides seamless imaging and treatment planning with dosimetrically matched couchtops that feature a large, junction-free & artifact-free treatment area. The unique profile of the UCT LE allows CIVCO's SBRT Body Pro-Lok™ bridges to attach directly to the couchtop, enabling a seamlessly integrated SBRT immobilization platform.
-Â trUpoint ARCH™ SRS/SRT System
The newly released trUpoint ARCH improves the patient's experience during SRS/SRT treatment with non-invasive, rigid and secure immobilization of the head allowing for accuracy within 1mm. Multiple immobilization methods are used, allowing the clinician to customize each setup based on the patient and clinical protocols.
-Â FreedomView™ Thermoplastic Mask
The newest of CIVCO's Tranquility Series™ thermoplastic masks was developed with patient comfort in mind. The mask provides pre-cut eye and mouth holes allowing the patient to see clearly and breathe easier. Rigid immobilization is maintained through the use of reinforced strips and smooth edges provide comfort around eye and mouth holes. The unique open pattern, balanced with a traditional rigid mask design, creates the stability that head & neck treatments demand.
-Â Body Pro-Lok™ SBRT Immobilization
Body Pro-Lok SBRT Immobilization allows for customized setups utilizing bridges that secure directly to the couchtop, thus eliminating the need for overlays and ensuring equivalent setups between CT and treatment. The Body Pro-Lok System provides a simple, modular and reproducible foundation for any high-precision SBRT program, adapting to any department's needs.
-Â Protura™ Robotic Patient Positioning System
CIVCO is also announcing integration (510k pending) between the Protura™ Robotic Patient Positioning System and Varian's Clinac® iX and Trilogy® medical linear accelerators via the Varian Motion Management Interface. Protura remotely repositions patients with robotic 6 degrees of freedom to ensure sub-millimeter positioning accuracy. Protura's integration with Varian treatment technology automatically opens the relevant patient information in Protura software, drawing it from Varian's 4DTC System, automatically loads patient shift data to match Varian's On-Board Imager™ (OBI) kV imaging system, and automatically imports the Varian pedestal location. Protura and Varian integration, along with AlignRT® 3D Imaging System integration will be demonstrated in the CIVCO booth throughout the meeting.
