CEPA High-Speed, Continuous-Flow Centrifuges provide rapid separations of liquid-liquid or liquid-solid mixtures. Typically used for harvesting biomass from fermentation runs, as well as clarifying process liquids, separating liquid products, bioremediation, and more, these centrifuges are capable of processing many times the volume of their tubular bowl using a "flow-thru" method that retains solids and collects the liquid components.

The CEPA family of products, offered through New Brunswick Scientific, includes benchtop through production-scale systems with a maximum throughput of 3,000 liters per hour. Among the larger models is this CEPA Model Z81, with maximum speed of 16,000 rpm, typically used with 100 to 500 liter process volumes, and a maximum throughput of 2,000 liters per hour. If needed the stainless steel bowl can be fitted with a removable Teflon® sleeve for processing batches larger than 500 liters. The compact system is less than 20" wide, 37.4" front-to-back, and stands just over 5' tall. It's available with options for cast-metal or stainless-steel chamber enclosure, cooling coil, tachometer, variable speed settings, and blood fractionation work.

CEPA centrifuges use no costly disposable membranes, are much faster than filtration systems, and there is no mid-run degradation due to clogged filters. For trouble-free processing in even the most demanding of circumstances, they are the ideal choice.
