CEITEC Deploys Eyelit's Award-winning Manufacturing Execution (MES) Software in Its Wafer Fab
Implementation of Eyelit software suite supports the development of the microelectronics industry in Brazil
Toronto, Canada — Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announced today the selection by CEITEC S.A. to deploy Eyelit Manufacturing in its design center and manufacturing facility in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
CEITEC S.A., which is linked to Brazil's Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, designs and manufactures analog, RF and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Its design center uses advanced tools to develop highly complex semiconductor products. CEITEC's operation is the first of its kind in Latin America.
As an emerging company, CEITEC was attracted to the low cost of entry for Eyelit's technologically advanced MES software. CEITEC observed that a large number of research consortiums are already running Eyelit's software in front-end wafer fabs.
Eyelit's solutions operate on platform-neutral Java technology, which allows for lower-cost infrastructure options. The system is designed for out-of-the-box implementation by end-users without the need for customization or a large IT team for ongoing support.
