CAS-MI Welcomes New Staff Member

February 2010, Ypsilanti, MI - The expansion of CAS-MI Laboratories and the CAS-MI Innovation Center continues with the addition of their newest staff member, Kristopher Felice. Kristopher began his career at CAS-MI while earning a B.S. in Polymer and Coatings Technology at Eastern Michigan University.

As Chemist/Coatings Technologist at CAS-MI, Kris uses a wide range of analytical techniques such as SEM/EDXA, FTIR, ATR, Microscopic FTIR and MDSC. He also has expertise in paint and coating physical testing, as well as failure analysis. "Kris excels at modifications of ASTM physical testing" explains Stephen C. Hall, Senior Technical Director, CAS-MI Laboratories, "which can be critical in providing clients the most valuable data possible when facing difficult coating product challenges".

Both CAS-MI Laboratories and the CAS-MI Innovation Center moved into a newly purchased 11,000 sq. ft. facility in 2009, with the help of tax credits from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. This expansion is part of CAS-MI's growing services to entrepreneurs and established companies for new coatings product development and analytical support.
