CAS DataLoggers Introduces High-Precision Current Clamps

CHESTERLAND OH-CAS DataLoggers together with AEMC Instruments have partnered to introduce the new Models CL407 and CL607 Clamp Power Data Loggers as low-cost solutions for safely measuring electrical conductors without the hassle of disconnecting equipment. Both models measure single- and three- phase power (Real, Reactive and Apparent) up to 3MW with resolution to 1W and also measure voltage frequency at 20kHz and current frequency at 2kHz. These extremely precise current clamps measure harmonics up to the 25th, auto-select AC or DC measurement, and can record up to 1000 measurements. Ideal for load measurement, runtime analysis, and general troubleshooting applications, these dataloggers offer extreme accuracy at an economical price that easily fits into most budgets.

The CL407 model measures up to 1000Aac and 1500Adc while the CL607 model measures up to 2000Aac and 3000Adc. Additionally, both dataloggers measure up to 1000Vac (1400V peak), 1000Vdc and AC+DC with resolution to 10mV. These new current and voltage dataloggers are 1000V CAT IV rated so users can work in total safety and also feature a 10,000 count blue electroluminescent backlit display listing current readings as well as a jaw opening up to 1.89" (400 series) and up to 2.36" (600 series). Leads are constructed with a flexible silicone material. For additional utility in equipment failure detection, the loggers also utilize True InRush(TM) current measurement with 1mS capture.

Bluetooth communication adds convenient data accessibility, and the devices are also compatible with AEMC's DataView® software. The data loggers are rated IP54 for solid protection and reliability and also rated UL 94, being flame retardant and self-extinguishing. Agency approvals by UL, CSA, VDE, GS (TUV) are pending.

All AEMC data loggers utilize the convenient DataView software package to configure the logger, display real-time results on a PC, or download and analyze stored data. DataView performs harmonic current monitoring and a range of other recording tasks using a user-friendly and intuitive setup from a PC. This complete software package allows users configure all data logger functions and parameters from a computer, including sample rate, recording length, channel configuration and more. DataView also enables data download and storage, real-time waveform display, trend graph creation, and analysis & report generation. A complete library of configurations can be created and stored which can then be uploaded to the data logger whenever needed, printing reports using standard or custom templates.

AEMC data loggers are lightweight and stand-alone recording devices featuring models for measuring AC or DC voltage or current, temperature, humidity, and event recording. These high-quality electrical data loggers are ideal for industrial, commercial and utility applications, backed by more than a century of experience in test and measurement equipment and encompassing the latest international standards for quality and safety.
