CAS DataLoggers Announces New Upgrade to Delphin ProfiSignal Software
New Functions and Enhancements for Measurement & Testing
CHESTERLAND OH—CAS DataLoggers in partnership with Delphin has announced a new upgrade for ProfiSignal measurement and testing software. Delphin’s ProfiSignal Software version 3.2 is now available to users and includes upgrades to both ProfiSignal and the DataService/Configurator software. Areas of application range from basic data archiving to visualization procedures and fully automated systems with report functions.
ProfiSignal’s new functions make it even easier to operate the DataService and to configure ProfiMessage devices. The new ProfiSignal sequencer object combines the running of programs in the DataService and ProfiSignal. Analog and digital channels can be selected and linked to set point curves, and users can easily integrate stop points and the conditions for processing to continue. The sequencer is ideal for managing climate chambers, experiments and test stands.
Delphin ProfiMessage Data Loggers can now be fully configured offline, while existing ProfiMessage configurations can be loaded, edited and saved. This function is especially useful for mobile applications. Saving and loading of partial configurations is also supported. Additionally, the DataService "find and replace" functions have been extended and can be used, for example, to replace partial strings, e.g. part of a channel name, for all channels. This saves time when configuring a ProfiMessage device. Password protection for the DataService and ProfiMessage devices have been upgraded and consolidated. ProfiSignal has been extended with a universal import filter for ASCII data. Visualization objects can now be directly linked to alarms in the alarm table, saving users time when creating visualization views.
Delphin ProfiSignal universal software is ideal for data acquisition, test automation and process data acquisition applications, enabling online/offline analysis, visualization and operation from any PC workstation as well as PC-controlled process automation and database communications via ODBC/SQL. The representation of the channels is a clear and intuitive operation similar to Windows Explorer. All measured values can be transferred to online storage and will work on PCs or servers. The visualization or analysis is done with the ProfiSignal software or OPC Server with any software, providing users with up to 1000 times higher time resolution when compared with a SCADA system.
Scalable – Go, Basic and Klicks from entry-level to professional users
ProfiSignal has 3 different versions for small (up to 40 channels), medium (up to 250 channels) and large (unlimited channels) systems: ProfiSignal Go –enables users to portray online data from Message and Expert hardware and is included with Expert and LogMessage devices. To enable fast portrayal and data processing, ProfiSignal Go has many analysis functions such as zooming, cursors, moveable axes, markers, ASCII exports and calculation channels. ProfiSignal Basic – combines ProfiSignal Go functions with operating and monitoring elements for process visualization, e. g. digital and analog displays, switches, buttons and signal lamps. Users can generate basic visualization views as well as complex visualization systems. ProfiSignal Klicks – extends ProfiSignal Basic with functions for process automation. Processes can be portrayed as module chart views, and a mouse-operated script language enables non-IT specialists to generate complex systems for test stands and automated procedures, including report output.
ProfiSignal options – extendible to meet user requirements
The systems available to users can be extended with additional modules: Alarm Management, ODBC/SQL, Vibro and -Server-Client or FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Users save costs by being able to select only the modules they actually need.
