CAS Announces Free New Software for T&D Data Loggers

Free Current Readings Monitor Software for RTR-500NW/AW Base Units

CHESTERLAND OH-CAS DataLoggers in partnership with high-quality manufacturer T&D is pleased to announce the release of the newly-designed Current Readings Monitor software available for immediate download for the T&D RTR-500NW and RTR-500AW Wireless Data Logger Network Base Stations. This new software is a PC client that can be run locally to monitor multiple loggers in real-time, and can also create local data files of up to a full year's readings. Since this resource can be run internal to a LAN, it makes an effective alternative to T&D's free WebStorage service for those customers who choose not to send their data over the Internet or who want automatic accumulation of data files on a local PC without manual operation required. TandD is offering this new application free of charge, downloadable directly from the T&D webpage at: http://tandd.com/about_tandd/newsrelease/20110930002.html.

The Current Readings Monitor software program enables users to gather and view current readings data recorded by T&D dataloggers in both list and graph formats. Settings can be made while the software is running to automatically gather these recent readings and set the display to refresh at set intervals. The gathered data can also be automatically saved for extra convenience.

A base unit with built-in wireless communication and LAN capabilities, the RTR-500NW data loggers are designed for use with a wired LAN, and the RTR-500AW units can be used with a wireless LAN. Both base units automatically download recorded data from a remote unit (an RTR-500 series wireless data logger) via wireless communication and then send that data via a network to any location. The wireless communication between a remote unit and a base unit ranges out to 500 ft (150 meters) unobstructed and direct, and can easily be extended by simply adding repeaters to improve communication.
Additionally, the RTR-500NW/AW base units can easily be set up to perform a chain of operations whereby they periodically download recorded data and/or current readings from remote RTR-500 Series wireless data loggers. The base units then send their data via a network to an e-mail address, FTP folder or to the T&D WebStorage Service, a free web-based storage service provided by the manufacturer. A wide range of warning monitoring functions are also provided: when a measurement exceeds one of the set upper or lower limits, the RTR-500NW/AW dataloggers will quickly judge whether or not a warning has occurred, and if so, an e-mail report will be immediately sent and notification will be shown by the LED lamp.

The new Current Readings Monitor software is currently compatible with T&D's RTR-500NW/500AW models, and for updates on compatible devices in T&D's ever-expanding product line as they are made available, please check the download page for the link above.

CAS Sales Manager Pete Martin commented on the software's release: "T&D has a great product line with the RTR series, and this new application adds even more value to RTR-500NW/AW wireless loggers. You can't beat free monitoring software from such a trusted manufacturer."
