Busch Precision Celebrates 105th Anniversary

Milwaukee, WI –  Busch Precision celebrated 105 years of American-built precision tools with an open house event October 10, 2012. For this momentous occasion, Busch opened its doors to over 200 family and friends, as well as a visit from Governor Tommy Thompson to share its history and success with the community. Coincidently, it was also owner Audrey Grove’s 48th anniversary with the company.

Busch Precision has a long-standing history in Milwaukee that has earned them mutual respect throughout the community. In 1987, Busch celebrated their 80th anniversary, that year George Grove, former Busch President, made plans to expand under the influence of Governor Thompson’s commitment to manufacturing.

Governor Tommy Thompson commenced the event by restating his commitment to the future of manufacturing and Busch Precision’s tradition of excellence. “I love people that build.” Thompson exclaimed, “I believe in America and every tool and die worker here.” Thompson went on to state the need for skilled labor and vocational schools across all industries, to get back to the basics and build America for our children and grandchildren.

The Busch Precision team is moving forward in the right direction. Barbara Grove, Busch CEO, believes the team has continued to flourish under new leadership and her father would be very pleased.

“Busch Precision continues to build for the future and the opportunity to share camaraderie and friendships throughout area businesses,” said Michael Mallwitz, President of Busch. Mallwitz explained it’s about creating an industrial team versus an individual company by bringing the manufacturing community together to build a strong, united industry. The 105th event was a chance for Busch to showcase its shop and get some valuable face-to-face time with the community.
