AutoCrib signs with The Wittern Group for Helix Chassis

SANTA ANA, CA - AutoCrib is pleased to announce that their Remote Dispensing Station (Helix RDS) will be shipped on a new platform with the chassis being exclusively produced by The Wittern Group, based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

"It was important to us to keep this manufacturing in the USA", states Steve Pixley, CEO of AutoCrib. "We did our research and were so pleased with what we learned about The Wittern Group, they are a solid company with a depth of experience in the vending industry." Founded in 1931, The Wittern Group boasts a proud history of quality products and dependable service. They are the premium supplier of these helix machines and the last U.S. manufacturer of this type of equipment.

"Our move to the new unit was very smooth, thanks to the support and expertise of the Wittern Group," Jim McMahon, VP Operations explains. "The new unit has all the essential basic and custom features our users have come to expect, plus some extras that make it easier to build and service. And Wittern's service arm, known as VendNet, provides us everything we need in the way of parts, accessories and service."

The RDS or Helix machine is the basic point-of-use system in the AutoCrib product line-up. It offers immediate, secure access to cutting tools and high-use supplies 24/7. RDS speaks four languages, and can locate items in other machines or cribs within the AutoCrib system. RDS can also force the use of regrinds.

With the new RDS chassis there is no change in price, but there are some differences and new features to be aware of:

o Wrap around LED lighting offers better visibility and reliability
o 180 deg motor with the "split tube" doubles bin capacity for round tools, batteries, etc.
o Helix now turns counter clockwise, not clockwise like AP and Rowe models
o All standard RDS features remain unchanged

AutoCrib has been providing automated inventory control systems for manufacturing companies since 1995. AutoCrib delivers automated inventory control systems (software and machines) for manufacturing companies. The basic concept of "tool vending" has evolved into a wide variety of products that assist manufacturers in controlling perishable tooling, safety supplies, MRO supplies and other "indirect materials".

AutoCrib offers robust tool crib software, point of use vending and other tool crib automation solutions. The product line includes handheld scanners, automated lockers, automated cabinets, traditional vending, and robotic carousel systems. No other company provides such a variety of point-of-use dispensing technology. The systems are driven by AutoCrib's powerful software, which provides end-users with real time usage data and in many cases, updates their ERP systems. This allows manufacturers to dramatically reduce the cost of indirect supplies by as much as 50% through accountability and access control.
