Brukar, Inc. Expands Warehouse and Adds a Customer 24/7 Online Inventory Module, Saving Customers Time and Money

Buffalo, N.Y. and Oakville, ON - Brukar Inc., an offshore contract manufacturer since 1985 of machined stainless steel investment castings, weldments, assemblies and recently deep drawn tanks, has expanded its corporate warehouse 400% and can now stock products for their biggest OEM customers, allowing those customers to cut down significantly on lead time and inventory on hand. Brukar's just released online inventory portal provides customers with instant access to up to the minute inventory records giving customers the confidence they need to be sure that the pipeline is full so that they can minimize their own inventory without risking production shut downs due to lack of parts.

For example, a company may use 200 pieces of a machined casting or assembly each month for a total of 2400 pieces per year. Significant cost savings may be realized buying offshore but to do so it's often necessary to buy a 3 or 4 month supply at one time, depending on the size of the casting. Brukar buys the volume required to ensure the most advantageous pricing, ships the 200 piece monthly requirement to the customer each month from their North American warehouse and holds the balance in inventory in North America for subsequent months. In addition, Brukar monitors their customer's production requirements and adjusts orders and inventory to ensure that customers always have the parts they need when they need them.

This helps the customer's cash flow, as they don't have to pay for the entire supply all at once, and also will drastically cut down on lead time when they need to re-order and ensure that no supply delays occur. An overseas shipment and order may take 3-4 months or more to arrive, but with Brukar's warehousing capability, lead time can be as little as 2-3 days.
