Brookville Equipment Cuts the Ribbon on New 23% Facility Expansion

Flanked by pictures of Brookville's CoGeneration(TM) Locomotive and standing in-front of the new facility expansion, BEC President and CEO Dalph McNeil addressed a crowd of nearly 300 guests during the October ribbon cutting. The day was a proud moment for Brookville Equipment Corporation, as it was the culmination of years of hard work and ingenuity.

Dalph McNeil discussed the need for Brookville's new 24,000 sq.ft. expansion to meet the growing demand for Brookville's line of locomotives. A look around the new expansion offered guests a visual of the breadth of the BEC equipment line from low-height underground mining locomotives to the 135 Ton, 2000 hp switcher locomotives in final stages of assembly. The ribbon cutting also served as the first public demonstration of the new fuel efficient and low emission CoGeneration(TM) Locomotive prototype.

Dalph McNeil then called upon special guests Tom and Romayne McGinnis of Knox, Pennsylvania, to the podium for the presentation of a special memorial created by BEC for their son, U.S. Army Specialist Ross McGinnis who was killed in action in Iraq.

Dalph McNeil then asked for Tom McGinnis to take the honor of cutting the yellow ribbon, officially declaring the new BEC expansion open for business. The ribbon was cut to a roar of applause. The McGinnis family, along with Dalph McNeil, took the shiny facsimile of the Silver Star to the front of the BEC main entrance as a permanent placement for all to see.
