BALTIMORE, MD, U.S.A., May 20, 2008: New literature from NOVATEC goes beyond the widely-reported energy savings afforded by the NovaWheel(TM) desiccant-wheel resin dryer to detail other important advantages over conventional dual-bed dryers, the company announced today.
The profusely illustrated 8-page NovaWheel brochure documents these benefits:
o 25% energy savings, on average, as compared with dual-bed systems. o Up to 7.5 time longer desiccant life as a result of the elimination of conventional desiccant beads (which are 30% clay binder) in favor of a woven substrate bearing 100% pure desiccant. o Up to 75% less floor space compared with dual-bed dryers of comparable throughput.
Using schematics, charts, and photos, the NovaWheel brochure explains how the desiccant wheel system works, describes throughput capabilities ranging from 100 to 5,000 lbs. (45 to 2,270 kg) per hour, and details a wide range of standard features. Also included is a description of two controller options, the NovaTouch(TM) color touch panel PLC and full-function microprocessor systems.
