Brochure Focuses on Use of EASY-PAC(TM) Package Sealing Solution at Regional Bottler

BRIDGEWATER, New Jersey, November 20, 2006 - National Adhesives has just published a four-page brochure that explains how the EASY-PAC(TM) Package Sealing Solution is improving packaging productivity at the Tyler Mountain Beverages fruit-drink facility in Paducah, KY.
Tyler Mountain Beverages, which began using the EASY-PAC Package Sealing Solution in late 2005, replaced the case and carton packaging adhesive it had been using as well the application equipment on all nine of its packaging lines with the EASY-PAC system. The switch to the EASY-PAC system reduced downtime at Tyler Mountain by ninety to ninety-five percent, increased line efficiency by 10 percent, and cut the spend on the replacement of hundreds of glue nozzles a year, according to Tyler Mountain management.
"I think the biggest improvement since we switched over to EASY-PAC is we don't have to focus so much on glue issues anymore. The glue issues have literally gone away, and now we can focus on areas of quality, areas of increased productivity, areas of better packaging, and get away from the minor nuisances of glue issues," says Sandy Thomas, Tyler Mountain's Operations Manager.
The EASY-PAC Package Sealing Solution has been designed to eliminate the problems packaging line operators currently experience with traditional 350° F hot melts and their application equipment, which can cause downtime, slow down production and delay delivery schedules. This significant improvement is accomplished by virtually eliminating char, the largest single cause of adhesive application malfunctions. Char is the substance produced by overheated hot melt or outside contaminants in the melt unit, which can clog filters, hoses and nozzles and bring packaging lines to a halt.
The EASY-PAC(TM) Package Sealing Solution includes a hot melt dispensing unit with an integrated auto-fill vacuum feeder, a char-free 200°F case and carton sealing hot melt adhesive, new hoses, nozzles and modules and a convenient hot melt storage bin that works with the feeder.
