Sixteen-page, full-color brochure from ABB sets forth the company's portfolio of instrumentation for the water and wastewater industries. The brochure begins with basic information on ABB's heritage in these industries, and explains that its products inter-operate and communicate using the same standard within a single digital architecture. Multiple fieldbus options are available, including PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and HART.
A spread that follows features a graphic that indicates all the various processes within water and wastewater plants with callouts for the instruments applicable to each. Two spreads follow with descriptions of all the ABB flowmeters types used in these processes. Categories include: electromagnetic flowmeters, insertion magmeters, vortex and swirl flowmeters, mass flowmeters, and variable area meters.
Next the brochure covers available analytical instruments for water and wastewater. These measure such variables as pH and ORP, dissolved oxygen and organics, turbidity, ammonia, and phosphate. In addition the brochure notes that ABB offers complete water quality sampling systems available mounted on racks or housed in self-contained monitoring cabins.
The brochure concludes with a section on temperature and pressure measurement as well as process controllers and videographic and chart recorders.
