SAN JOSE, Calif.- SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWRA)(NASDAQ:SPWRB), a Silicon Valley-based manufacturer of high-efficiency solar cells, solar panels and solar systems, announced the completion of a 550-kilowatt (kW) solar power system at the new Brocade (NASDAQ:BRCD) headquarters in San Jose, Calif. The SunPower solar power system, which is one of the largest installations in the City of San Jose, will be featured at the dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

The investment will produce more than 18 million kWh over 25 years and offers a direct hedge against the rising cost of electricity. The 550-kW solar system features the SunPower E 18/305 Solar Panel, a 96-cell module utilizes SunPower's all-back contact cell, delivering a total panel conversion efficiency of 18.7 percent.
