Bridgehead Software Creates New Healthcare Position

Woburn, MA., November 6, 2007 - BridgeHead Software, developer of Enterprise Data Archiving software, has created the position of Director of Business Development, Healthcare Sector, as a result of the company's past success and future market opportunities in the healthcare market. The position will be filled by Charles Mallio, Jr., who will be responsible for the continued support and development of that community.

According to market research firm TekPlus, the global integrated Hospital Information System (iHIS) market is expected to be $12.5 billion in 2007, creating significant opportunities for Bridgehead Software and its channel partners. BridgeHead Software has experienced rapid growth in the North American healthcare market, largely as a result of its long-established relationship with MEDITECH and the integration of BridgeHead's HT Backup offering with MEDITECH's Health Information System and ISB/IDR (Integrated Serverless Backup/Integrated Disaster Recovery) business continuity solution.

Mallio joins the BridgeHead Software team from MEDITECH, where he built an impressive and demonstrable reputation in healthcare client services, applications and technical support. While at MEDITECH, he held a variety of key roles including: manager technical support, Client Services Division, senior supervisor pharmacy software, supervisor applications, and applications consultant.

A core addition to the company, Mallio's appointment demonstrates continued commitment to MEDITECH and its community, and strengthens BridgeHead Software's ability to deliver both superior support as well as state of the art solutions to the integrated storage management market in the healthcare sector.

Ryan Witt, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Marketing, for BridgeHead Software, commented: "Charlie will play a pivotal role in developing the marketplace and opportunities within the healthcare sector for BridgeHead Software. He hails from our key strategic partner - MEDITECH, and is not only intimately familiar with the MEDITECH HIS platform, but with the BridgeHead Software HT Backup for MEDITECH's ISB/IDR continuity solution, as well as our HT FileStore archiving solution. Mallio has also worked in a consulting capacity with healthcare CIOs and CTOs in the area of business continuity planning. It was the right time to bring someone with Charlie's stature and capabilities into our organization to help us address this growing market need."

"After twelve wonderful years with MEDITECH, I am very excited to begin a new chapter in my career with BridgeHead Software and to further develop the company's presence in the healthcare sector," states Mallio. "The BridgeHead HT Backup software is key to the delivery of MEDITECH's ISB/IDR solution across all MEDITECH-certified SAN platforms. I joined BridgeHead in part because I have seen first-hand the great benefits that the company has been able to provide to MEDITECH customers in the area of business continuance, and I know we can extend that same value to meet the growing needs of healthcare IT in the area of enterprise data archiving, be it for PACS, Exchange, Office, or the MEDITECH Scanning & Archiving application. "

MEDITECH has been a leading software vendor in the healthcare informatics industry for 37 years, providing integrated software solutions that meet the information needs of healthcare organizations worldwide. Organizations they serve include: hospitals, ambulatory care centers, physicians' offices, long term care and behavioral health facilities, and home health organizations.

About BridgeHead Software

BridgeHead Software is focused on developing software to enhance the ways in which medium to large organizations manage their data and storage infrastructures. The goal is to help find the most intelligent approach to investing in and deploying storage; simplifying administrative processes and optimizing scarce time and resources. A key part of the company's philosophy is remaining storage vendor agnostic, enabling it to tie into current and future mix of storage platforms. By the same token BridgeHead Software recognizes that software solutions cannot work in isolation. They have to integrate with and maximize the underlying storage and workflow and business processes that surround information. To address this, BridgeHead Software has developed strong relationships with key storage and application technology vendors and is able to deliver integrated solutions through partnerships with leading systems integrators and providers of valued added services.
