Press release date: February 13, 2007

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Feb. 13, 2007) - Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading provider of electrical wiring devices and home systems, announces a breakthrough product line that aims to put style into the traditional electrical device. Named "Signature," this extensive line of Decorator style Dimmers, Switches and Outlets allows homeowners and decorators to enhance the décor of any room.

Working with Signature is easy. Begin by selecting the appropriate electrical device from a variety of Dimmers, Switches or Outlets. Second, choose between a straight or curved style wall plate. Next, the color and type of base plate must be chosen. It could have up to four openings for switches or outlets, and it's available in black, white and light almond. After selecting the base plate, choose from an array of trim cap colors to cover the screws and provide the final detail for any style room. Designed to match and accent paint or wall molding, each trim cap expresses the decorator's "signature" style with every flip of the switch.

"Signature is for people who care about every detail in home design and want to express themselves with every square inch of living space," said Maria Del Amo-Lombardo, product manager at P&S. "This product line integrates function and fashion, and the switches, outlets, dimmers and wall plates can be swapped out easily for convenient remodeling or refreshing the look of any room."

P&S conducted extensive research with consumers, builders, remodelers and designers and developed the Signature line to heighten interest in wiring devices and shift perceptions - from code-driven necessities - to demand-driven upgrades that improve a home's look and feel, and express the homeowner's lifestyle. The current protocol of separating devices from décor and room planning will likely give way to fashion Switches, Dimmers, Outlets and Wall Plates, selected in conjunction with other architectural elements of the home.

The P&S Signature wiring devices include Dimmers, Light and Fan Controls, GFCIs, Nighlight/GFCIs, Television and Telephone Outlets, Toggle Decorator Conversion Inserts, Duplex Receptacles and Regular, Lighted and Momentary Contact Switches. The trim caps come in a variety of colors and finishes including white, light almond, black, summer field yellow, green tea, regatta blue, aged bronze, stainless steel, brushed nickel, aged copper, brushed brass, and bead, crown and dentil moldings. The base plates and trim caps also fit P&S's standard decorator switches and outlets.
