Bradken's Amite Facility Achieves Two Million Work-Hours Without a Lost Time Accident

Bradken, a leading global supplier of differentiated consumable and capital products, is pleased to announce that on February 3rd at 11:30 AM CST the Company's Amite facility (Amite, LA USA) reached a new milestone in safety by working 2,000,000 hours without a lost time accident. This represents 1,771 days, nearly five full calendar years, of commitment to excellence in identifying, controlling, and managing the safety of the work environment. The Amite facility is part of Bradken Engineered Products division. At Bradken, safety is paramount and the Amite facility exemplifies our mantra: "To Safely Do What We Said - When We Said".

In recognition of the employees who helped achieve this accomplishment, a luncheon and presentation will take place on February 26th. The presentation by Tom Armstrong, Chief Operating Officer will be made to Neil Sweet, Executive Vice President - Amite, and all employees. Local media will be present.

As one of the larger, established North American steel foundries, the Amite facility's growth strategy involves investment by Bradken in technical resources such as ProEngineering and Magma Soft solidification modeling. The facility is extensively experienced in the Industrial, Mining and Construction markets and supplies superior products and services to these markets. Greater focus has been placed on implementing technical tools and advanced infrastructure to manufacture more challenging ferrous sand castings. Basic arc melting contributes to the high standards of the castings and an on-site machine shop provides rapid delivery of machined castings from a single source.

Bradken's Engineered Products division is based in Kansas City, MO USA and has manufacturing facilities in Atchison, Kansas; St. Joseph, Missouri; Tacoma and Chehalis, Washington; Amite, Louisiana, and London, Ontario; as well as a trading office in Xuzhou, China. The company designs and manufactures large, highly engineered ferrous sand castings, machined components and assemblies for major companies in the energy, mining, railroad and mass transit industries.
