(Buchanan, MI - www.boschrexroth-us.com) Bosch Rexroth AG and Middlesex Industries SA (Lugano, Switzerland) are planning joint sales activities for cleanroom conveyor systems, based on the proven Middlesex technology. In August 2008 George Horn, President and CEO of Middlesex Industries SA, and Dr.-Ing. Jorg Walther, Executive Vice President Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies, Bosch Rexroth AG, signed a corresponding Memorandum of Understanding. Subject to approval by the antitrust authorities both parties will conclude binding agreements within the next months.
The cooperation will primarily encompass mutual supply of conveyor modules and components, but will include handling and cooperation on system projects, as well, especially in industries such as semiconductors, hard disk drives, medical devices and, above all, photovoltaics. Furthermore, both parties intend to cooperate on future development and manufacturing of the next generation of automated material handling systems to meet the needs of the semiconductor industry for 300mm Prime and 450mm wafer fabs.
Middlesex Industries is a leading supplier of logistics systems for cleanroom applications in the field of semiconductors, flat panel displays, hard disk drives, pharmaceuticals, photovoltaics and micro electromechanical systems.
