AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 25 / -- BorgWarner Inc. (NYSE: BWA) BorgWarner has announced the promotion of Scott Gallett to the new position of Vice President, Marketing, Public Relations and Internal Communications. Scott also serves as a member of the company's Strategy Board and is Executive Champion for China, responsible for customer and government relations, as well as corporate functions and shared services departments. He will lead this group to support the growth of BorgWarner in China and will continue to build the BorgWarner image and brand in this fast growing market.

Scott, 42, most recently served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BorgWarner Turbo & Emissions Systems. He joined BorgWarner in 1991 and has served in sales and marketing positions in both the company's engine and drivetrain businesses throughout his career.
Scott holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Massachusetts.
