Cortec® Corporation, in its continuing advancement in green chemistry, has enhanced its EcoLine® Long-Term Rust Preventive. The product is now verified as 85% bio-based by tests conducted at the Iowa State University as part of the EPA's Federal Bio-based Product Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P), dictated by the Farm Bill of 2002. EcoLine® Long-Term Rust Preventive is environmentally/user safe and provides long-term rust protection for multi-metals placed indoors or outdoors.
Utilizing revolutionary soybean derivative methyl esters in conjunction with Cortec's patented Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI(TM)) Technology, EcoLine® Long-Term Rust Preventive assures multi-metal corrosion protection up to 24 month indoors and up to 6 month outdoors. This rust preventative performs excellent under harsh coastal and marine conditions. In addition to long-term rust protection, the new EcoLine® Rust Preventive yields exceptional penetrating properties, cutting through surface contamination or fluids. This bio-based product works great for components in motion by providing them with extra needed lubricity. It also helps loosen frozen and rusted parts.
A great advantage of the EcoLine® Rust Preventative is its neutral smell compared to the oily, pungent odor from conventional rust preventives. EcoLine® is VOC free, non-flammable, and biodegradable.
