Beecher, Ill. - For visitors interested in improving their MIG welding safety, costs and performance, Bernard will be showcasing three new products at FABTECH 2012, November 12 to 14 in Las Vegas. The company will display its new Bernard FILTAIR® Fume Extraction MIG Gun, Bernard S-Gun(TM) 250 Amp MIG Gun and Bernard Dura-Flux Gun with Replaceable Power Cable Liner in booth 5516. To assist visitors, Bernard will also have experts in the booth to answer MIG welding questions and offer product solutions.
Highlights of the showcased products include:
· Bernard FILTAIR Fume Extraction MIG Gun: This new gun features a vacuum regulator at the front of the handle that allows for balance of suction with shielding gas flow to protect against porosity. The gun complements FILTAIR Systems from Miller Electric Mfg. Co. and is compatible with vacuum systems from most other manufacturers. It includes upgraded features compared to the Clean Air(TM) Gun Series Bernard previously offered, including a smaller vacuum chamber to improve joint access and increase visibility, and a smaller, lighter weight handle with a vacuum hose swivel at the rear to improve operator comfort and control.
· Bernard S-Gun(TM) 250 Amp MIG Gun: The new gun includes a locked rotatable neck that cannot be easily removed by the welding operator, but is still easily serviceable by maintenance personnel. By having the locked neck, companies can reduce time spent at shift starts looking for or replacing MIG gun necks, as well as minimize the cost for additional neck purchases. The gun is compatible with the Weld Cable Control (WCC) Systems from Miller Electric Mfg. Co.
· Bernard Dura-Flux Gun with Replaceable Power Cable Liner: This self-shielded flux-cored arc welding (FCAW-S) gun allows quick and easy power cable maintenance and features an advanced handle design that helps reduce downtime associated with operator fatigue. It is available with an optional dual schedule switch that allows for easy wire feed speed adjustment while welding and is integrated into the handle to protect it from weld spatter.
