ERIE, PA -- In another growth move stemming from increasing customer needs and a newly announced relationship with Incoe Corporation (hot runner systems), Beaumont Technology, Inc. (BTI) announces the formation of a new Research & Development Department within the firm, along with personnel to staff it.

BTI is a leader in mold and process optimization technologies including the MeltFlipperŽ technology for both hot and cold runner systems.

Matt W. Baker, newly hired Development Engineer, takes on the challenge to pursue new BTI-related technologies and work to commercialize them, most notably continuing advancements on the new iMARC(TM) in-mold rheological control system introduced by BTI at the NPE 2006 (release can be found at martinthomas.com/BTI.htm - new iMARC System). Mr. Baker will also be responsible in an R & D function working with Incoe Corporation stemming from the two firms' most recent agreement to advance the development of melt management technology in hot runner systems (please go to martinthomas.com/BTI.htm for a copy of the news release on the new agreement between the two firms which was announced at NPE 2006 - Beaumont/Incoe Accord).

Mr. Baker, an engineer who comes to BTI from Chipsco, Inc. (mold and design) in nearby Meadville, PA, where he was a tool designer, is a graduate of Penn State, Behrend, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in plastics engineering. He and his wife reside in Edinboro, PA., and both are formerly from the Titusville, PA area.
