Press release date: October 26, 2006

ST. LOUIS - Oct. 26, 2006 - In response to significant global growth and expansion over the past year, David Gianini, Vice President of Human Resources at Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc., has announced the newly created role of Director of International Human Resources, naming Donn Boyer to the position.

"We currently do not have a human resource support structure in place for our various global operations, so our purpose in creating this position is to make sure we're providing our international team members with access to superior human resource programs and processes," Gianini stated. "Donn brings a tremendous amount of expertise in this area, and his leadership and personal skills will be a huge asset in bringing those resources to our international team."

In his new role, Boyer will examine international benefit programs, formalize the PeopleSoft human resource management database, implement the Barry-Wehmiller Safety Covenant and related initiatives, and help advance various sales and motivation programs. He will also serve as a liaison between the human resource teams at Barry-Wehmiller's U.S. companies and their respective international operations to help bring divisional initiatives into focus.

Boyer possesses more than four decades of experience in International Human Resources, Employee Relations and Organization Management with global companies such as 3M Company, Saxon Industries, Inc. and Graco, Inc. For the past nine years, he has worked for Thiele Technologies, a Barry-Wehmiller division in Minneapolis, Minn., most recently as Vice President of Sales and Human Resources.

"Donn has provided consistent leadership and insight throughout his tenure at Thiele," said Larry Smith, President and CEO of Thiele Technologies. "He is immensely qualified to serve the larger Barry-Wehmiller organization in this new role, offering both diverse language skills and a deep understanding of the human resource customs and practices in the various countries where Barry-Wehmiller does business."

In October 2005, Barry-Wehmiller completed the largest acquisition in its history, that of Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), which added seven global locations and grew the number of international employees by more than 50 percent. Today, Barry-Wehmiller employs over 4,000 people, more than 600 of whom are located overseas. PCMC as well as MarquipWardUnited have more team members worldwide than any of Barry-Wehmiller's 11 divisions.

PCMC and MarquipWardUnited CEO, Timothy J. Sullivan, commented on Boyer's appointment, saying, "I believe that Donn will help bring our human resource function to new levels internationally by providing a clear focus and direction for our teams. We look forward to Donn's leadership here as Barry-Wehmiller continues to grow significantly its operations and number of associates outside the U.S."
