Storage Innovators Continue Close Collaboration on Leading Data Protection Solutions
SAN DIEGO -- Nov. 13, 2007--BakBone Software® (Pink Sheets:BKBO), the leading provider of heterogeneous integrated data protection solutions, today announced that BakBone will now offer support for the Sun StorageTek(TM) 5800 System as an extension of BakBone's global distribution agreement with Sun Microsystems.
The combined solution of NetVault: Backup, BakBone's flagship data protection software, with the Sun StorageTek 5800 System provides disaster recovery and archival capabilities for the types of large data repository applications used by healthcare, scientific and educational communities to ensure that fixed content is protected around the clock. Additionally, BakBone's worldwide technology licensing and distribution agreement with Sun provides customers with greater choice for advanced data protection solutions.
BakBone's innovation with the award-winning NetVault: Backup solution allows enterprises to reduce the cost and inherent complexity of managing the expanding volumes of data they generate. Coupling the Sun StorageTek 5800 System with NetVault: Backup software delivers faster, continuous access to enterprise data assets.
