June 25, 2006, Dallas: BTR introduces a new range of LON bus I/O modules during CABA's Intelligent Buildings Leadership Conference in Dallas. Distinguising features include compact size, easy mounting via DIN rail, and faster installation times due to the innovative 8-position jumper clip for bus and power connectivity.
Feature rich, yet simple to use, typical applications include pump status, power on/off, packaged boiler exhaust fans, remote sensing (temperature, pressue, enthalpy, outside humidity, etc.), valve positioning (including VAVs), variable frequency drives to control motor speed, cooling tower fans, HVAC and mixing valves.
Configuration of standard network variables and other predeternmined variables is automatic via Plug-ins and the modules are compatible with LonMark and other industry standard configuration tools to create a open and interoperable Building Automation System with Energy Management that enables any building to add intelligence with a small investment.
