BSA Sets New Course in 2014 with "Legacy of Excellence...Shaping the Future"

Glen Ellyn, IL—The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) is adopting a learning-based program at its 2014 Annual Convention May 3-6 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Scottsdale, Arizona. “Legacy of Excellence…Shaping the Future” will examine the convergence of industry trends, sustainable growth, and how innovation can be used to grow a mature market.

BSA offers a legacy of excellence unlike any other. No other association brings together the top leadership of authorized bearing distributors and manufacturers. In doing so, the association fosters essential industry relationships and the opportunity to shape the future of the bearing industry. BSA’s 2014 Annual Convention business program is designed to do just that, with a series of program components that build on each other.

“Legacy of Excellence…Shaping the Future” Presentations will include:

• Industry Trends and Growth presented by Dr. Barry Lawrence, The Leonard and Valerie Bruce Leadership Chair, the Program Director of the Industrial Distribution Program, Director of the Thomas and Joan Read Center, and Director of the Global Supply Chain Laboratory at Texas A & M University

• Our Evolving Industry: Analysis and Insight presented by Courtney Killion, Market Research Analyst at Cleveland Research

• Disruptive Innovation: Empowering Growth presented by Dr. Jeff Dyer, Co-founder & Professor of Strategy at Brigham Young University and Wharton

• Shaping the Future: Creating Growth in Mature Markets is a final industry panel in which all three thought leaders (above) will participate.

The key take away for convention attendees is to identify how industry growth trends can be changed through disruptive innovation to grow the market.

This learning-based programming is, however, just the beginning. Important updates from BSA and ABMA on the state of the industry and BSA’s Conference Table Session which encourages distributors and manufacturers to build problem-solving relationships are also scheduled. This is business programming you cannot afford to miss.

Additional programming details are available at the website, www.bsaconventions.org and attendees are encouraged to register now. For many companies, fourth quarter is budget season; early registration encourages industry leaders to include BSA's Annual Convention in their time and travel plans for 2014, while using 2013 budget dollars. Registration is now open.

BSA is the “must belong to organization for authorized bearing distributors.” An international service and educational organization of distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted, anti-friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products, the association’s mission says, “BSA is the forum to enhance networking and knowledge sharing and promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors.” For more information on BSA, contact the BSA office at (630) 858-3838; fax (630) 790-3095; email info@bsahome.org or visit the association website at www.bsahome.org.
