SAN JOSE, Calif., March 27 // -- BEA Systems, a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, today announced its participation as a gold sponsor at the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference (ETech) scheduled to take place March 26-29, 2007 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, Calif.

Today at 4:20 p.m., BEA's vice president of engineering, Adrian McDermott, is scheduled to present a session entitled "Extreme Productivity in the Enterprise: The User is the Developer is the User ... " The session, located in the Gallery, is aimed at highlighting and demonstrating three of BEA's new products designed to bring Web 2.0 and social computing to the enterprise. This new enterprise class of integrated social computing software from BEA includes three new products, BEA AquaLogic(R) Pages, BEA AquaLogic(R) Ensemble and BEA AquaLogic(R) Pathways, each designed to empower end-user participation in the workplace while giving IT the management and governance control that core enterprise systems and processes require.

The sixth annual ETech Conference brings together C-suite executives, scientists, researchers, programmers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, analysts and media to discuss this year's theme "Sufficiently Advanced Technology" - a theme chosen to encourage the examination of the technological "magic" behind everything from infrastructure to mass computing and personalized medicine to alternative energy sources.

Keeping with ETech's mission to showcase advancements that integrate technologies, streamline user interfaces and simplify the complex, BEA plans to introduce its new enterprise Web 2.0 technologies at the conference:
