Aven Expands Relationships at Series of 2009 Industry Conferences

Aven, Inc. and its SharpVue division have exhibited at several major industry gatherings this year and will participate this fall in three expositions.

From Sept. 22-24, representatives of the global distributor of precision tools and optical inspection systems, will be at Booth 5033 of Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. for Quality Expo and Medical Device and Manufacturing (MD&M) Midwest. Those events overlap with Design & Manufacturing Midwest, Electronics Midwest and Assembly Technology Expo.

Aven products being showcased include a new line of stainless steel maintenance tools, the second-generation iLoupe XL microscope and the Digital Mighty Scope, a hand-held enlargement and image capture instrument.

Representatives return to Illinois a month later for the Worldwide Food Expo, organized by the American Meat Institute and International Dairy Foods Association at McCormick Place in Chicago from Oct. 28-31. Advantages of stainless tools for sterile production areas will be demonstrated at Booth S-3961 in the South Hall.

The Aven-SharpVue team flies to Munich, Germany, in November for Productronica, a leading international trade fair for electronics production.

Earlier at McCormick Place, the Michigan-based company participated in the Pittcon 2009 conference and expo. Mark Kanpurwala, managing director of operations and sales for SharpVue, demonstrated the iScope and iVue models - innovative all-in-one digital microscope and video inspection systems made in America.

Booth visitors included executives from Eli Lilly, Abbott Labs, Merck and other multinational research, technology and healthcare enterprises. Pittcon, which draws more than 20,000 attendees, is the world's largest educational conference on laboratory science.

"We value these opportunities to discuss product applications, attend industry presentations and develop new relationships with executives interested in high-performance, precision instruments," says Mike Shahpurwala, Aven's president.

In addition to large gatherings, Aven attends selected meetings of technical and professional groups, such as the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners, which met in Dearborn, Mich., during August.

Overseas, Aven had a presence at the three-day Componex Nepcon India conference in New Delhi, the largest show of electronic components and production equipment in South Asia. Representatives from the SMT industry and other technology manufacturers were introduced to the compact Mighty Scope and SharpVue's advanced digital microscope systems.

These products were showcased by Sumitron, the U.S. firm's marketing and customer support partner in India. The electronic tools and equipment supplier is based in New Delhi and has branches in five other cities.
