Press release date: June 9, 2009

San Diego, CA. June 9, 2009, Autosplice continues to expand its capabilities and product offerings with the acquisition of Versatile Engineering Company of Gardena, CA.

The purchase of Versatile Engineering provides Autosplice with increased capacity to design, develop, and supply precision metal stampings and assemblies to the medical, industrial, consumer, and automotive markets. Versatile Engineering produces custom tooling using highly skilled, Class A tool and die makers. The acquisition provides Versatile's existing customers with a global footprint that provides more services for new and existing product lines.

"Versatile Engineering is a very well-respected company in the precision metal stamping industry and has a tradition of supplying high-quality, fast to market components," said Michael T. Reagan, President, Autosplice. "We look forward to leveraging the synergies and expertise they provide in order to solve our customers' most challenging electrical interconnect problems. This acquisition compliments our UK stamping and molding operation that was acquired in 2007 and positions Autosplice for long term growth."

The Autosplice-Versatile facility will remain within the greater Los Angeles area, where it has been producing complex stampings since 1970. The facility has over 30, 000 Square feet and utilizes over 25 Bruderer presses. The business has been known for its ability to design and produce intricate stampings in the medium to high volume range.

"We're excited about the resources and strengths we can now offer," said Adolf Weiss, General Manager of Versatile, who will continue to supervise the operations at the Gardena facility. "The commitment that Autosplice has to grow its electronic solutions business can only be seen as a positive among the employees here as well as for our established customer base. We look forward to becoming part of Autosplice and offering a new level of service."

Autosplice is a multi-national full-service supplier that delivers electrical interconnect solutions and equipment worldwide. Autosplice operates in nine countries around the globe; USA, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and China.
