Press release date: March 3, 2010

Erie, Pa. - Automation Devices, Inc. (ADI), a vibratory feeder manufacturer in Fairview, Pa. is pleased to announce an expansion to its services to include repairing and retooling all models of foreign and domestic vibratory and centrifugal feeders and bowls. ADI also relines vibratory bowls, which can reduce wear and expenses. Many companies have other manufacturer's vibratory feeders in their shops and plants, such as Syntron feeders, that may be underperforming, jamming or not running due to the unavailability of spare or replacement parts. ADI engineers and bowl tooling specialists can fix virtually any problem to get customers up and running again to their maximum capacity.

ADI takes pride in the dedication and quality of workmanship that is placed on each job. When Automation Devices receives a vibratory bowl to repair, the goal is always to return the product to the customer in better than new condition, in the quickest amount of time possible. Several assessments are considered routine when retooling a bowl or rebuilding a feeder to include cleaning the springs and spring mounting surfaces, spring spacers are replaced and wear surfaces are inspected. In addition, base unit screw threads and coils are inspected and any fasteners that do not meet ADI standards are replaced. When relining a bowl, some linings offer noise reduction and all offer some level of bowl surface protection. Often times part feed rates improve after a bowl is relined.

Bob Hoover, Feeder Technician, says that repairing an old bowl can be an excellent alternative to purchasing new equipment. "With companies trying to minimize expenditures in light of the economy, having a bowl re-tooled saves companies from making a large capital equipment purchase," says Hoover. "And, when a feeder bowl is operating correctly, it increases efficiency and reduces expenses."

Automation Devices Inc. produces a full line of tooled and un-tooled vibratory feeders and components. They are located in Fairview, Pa. They can be contacted at 814-474-5561 or view ADI products at www.autodev.com
