CLINTON, MA (July 1, 2006) - Automated Assemblies Corporation (AAC), a leading US designer and manufacturer of robots and workcell solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, has appointed Daniel T. Mackey as Customer Service Manager.

His responsibilities include managing the technical field service force as well as telephone support, training and replacement parts needs for the company's expanding customer base around the globe.

He joins AAC with more than 25 years of experience handling and managing customer service for both international plastics and high technology corporations. In this new position at AAC, he has assumed service responsibilities for the firm's international base of customers as well as service, training and parts.

His background includes what Mr. Mackey calls "unparalleled customer care" for companies such as EGS Gauging, LTX and Teredyne. "Among my goals," says Mr. Mackey, "are to make Automated Assemblies' service, training and part sales the benchmark of the plastics industry. Our first steps are to be more responsive than ever and increase our service, training and parts staffs. I want AAC to go back to what many people and companies have lost - apply a sense of urgency to customer needs!"

The new Customer Service Manager further notes that AAC is integrating the traditional service and parts departments into a cohesive Customer Support Group to "bring a seamless coordination of these functions to all our customers."

Automated Assemblies Corporation designs and manufactures advanced technology workcells and application-specific robotic solutions including vision inspection, part packaging, insert molding and IML/IMD. What separates AAC from competitors is customer support that begins with the understanding of the initial challenges facing plastics processors, and continues beyond the life cycle of molded products. The firm has served the plastics industry since 1971. Service is available throughout the Americas, and in Asia and Europe.
