HAYWARD, Calif., Nov. 10 // -- Authenex, a leading provider of cost-effective and strong (two-factor) authentication and encryption solutions, announced today that PassGo Technologies now supports the Authenex v3.6 A-Key Token as part of their Defender 5 Server product.
Defender 5.2 provides a standards-based, strong two-factor authentication security solution using third-party hardware and software tokens. It is targeted at enterprises needing highly scalable authentication for SSL VPNs, Citrix applications, Web applications, VPN / firewalls, desktop logins and access servers that support RADIUS(R).
"This token will help Defender meet business users' evolving strong authentication needs," said Peter Cooke, Product Manager at PassGo Technologies. "We are planning to support other Authenex tokens in the near future, further increasing their choice and functionality."
The v3.6 A-Key token is an OTP-only token that generates unique six digit numbers, which enable the ASAS Server (and other RADIUS-compliant authentication servers) to verify a user's identity via One-time Password authentication.
Authenex tokens support Challenge/Response and OTP authentication, secure certificate management, traceless web single sign-on and mobile data security, as well as file and end point encryption. The newest A-Key token (the v4.5) will have all the above features, plus up to one gigabyte of encrypted memory to protect mobile data.
