(Lee's Summit, MO) Austin Hardware & Supply, Inc. has named Vicki R. Taylor the company's Chief Financial Officer. Taylor has spent the last 8 years as Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Secretary for Everest Connections, LLC, a $60+ million telecommunications firm. Taylor's role with Austin will be to help develop and implement the company's strategic financial objectives, which include supporting expansion endeavors, executing cash management strategies, managing operational budgets, and managing the day-to-day activities of Austin's accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and human resources departments.
Among her successes at Everest, Taylor partnered with the leadership team to successfully complete the sale of the company and secure a syndicated debt facility. She also relocated and rebuilt the accounting department with 35% fewer accounting resources while supporting a 500% increase in the company's customer base. Additionally, Taylor reduced operating expenses by over 20% through the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, and reduced month-end close time by 40% through automation and the implementation of process efficiencies.
Taylor is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM). She received a BS from the University of Central Missouri and an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Taylor is a resident of Lee's Summit, MO.
