Austin Hardware & Supply, Inc. Acquires Fastener Supplier JPC Specialties

Austin Hardware and Supply, Inc. has announced the acquisition of JPC Specialties, a leading supplier of standard and specialty fasteners located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The acquired firm will continue operations from its Philadelphia location under the name JPC Fasteners, an Austin Hardware Company. The transition will be transparent to customers, who will experience no disruption of service.

Mark Dudenhoeffer, president of Austin Hardware says, "We're excited about the acquisition of JPC because of how a broader product offering will benefit customers. Fasteners are a natural extension of our product line, and we were providing them on a limited basis prior to the acquisition. JPC makes us a complete fastener resource, to go along with being a complete hardware resource. This creates a tremendous opportunity for customers to experience service efficiencies, through vendor consolidation, that will have tangible cost benefits for those customers.

Mr. Dudenhoeffer continues, "The way fasteners are typically provided to industry - through vendor managed programs - fits well into our customer-centric service model. For several years, we have invested heavily in the technology to provide vendor managed bin-stocking programs. This acquisition allows us to further ramp up those initiatives, which also have significant bottom line impact for qualified customers."
