Press release date: June 21, 2006

June 21st 2006

As part of its "TV on Mobile" broadcast product line, ENENSYS announces a class A, low power amplifier. Designed for DVB-H, DVB-T transmissions, RFBooster 1W also amplifies T-DMB, DAB, QAM or any other of those digitally modulated signals that require a very low level of distortion...

RFBooster 1W is a standalone amplifier: 1 Watt in output (i.e. +30dBm output level) in the VHF-UHF band. Visitors of Broadcast Asia show will have the chance to take in their hands the smallest 1W DVB-H or T-DMB amplifier in the market. Silent (passive cooling), smart and compact, RFBooster 1W provides 30dB amplification for signals with up to 0dBm input level.

"RFBooster serves at least two major applications" explains Nicolas Fannechere, Marketing Manager in ENENSYS Technologies, "One is the low power DVB-H transmission for limited coverage DVB-H as those mini-transmitters playing the role of a relay to main transmitters (targeted areas are shadowed zones, in-door or commercial areas). Another application is to enlarge emitting area on RF modulators to reach higher coverage: either R&D lab premises, a demo room, or manufacturing premises... to reach a couple of hundred meters transmission distance." On top of this, RFBooster is a class A amplifier, and has the capability to amplify any digital, elaborated and sensibly modulated signal such as DVB-H, DAB, 8VSB, 16-VSB, QAM...

ENENSYS Technologies also took Broadcast Asia 2006 show opportunity to introduce its DVB-T / DVB-H MFN modulator (NN6-1160) as a complement to its NN6-1161 best seller product (DVB-T and DVB-H modulator, MFN and SFN capable). With its simplified connectivity, NN6-1160 is the economic version of the broadcast class modulator, inheriting from outstanding MER and modulation characteristics, IP remote control and USB2.0 input capabilities.
