Astro Machine Works, Inc, located in Ephrata, Pa completed upgrade of its Quality Management System to the AS9100C standard in July 2012 and is now certified to both ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100:2009.
Previously, Astro Machine Works had been certified to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100B since December 2009. The assessment was performed by TÜV SÜD America, Inc. in accordance with the requirements of AS9104A and is accredited under the Aerospace registrar management program. The AS9100C standard is significant as the scope of the Quality Management System has been expanded to include aviation, space and defense industry requirements, whereas the previous version, AS9100B, only included aerospace. The scope of the Quality Management System at Astro Machine Works, Inc. includes the manufacture, repair, and engineering support of mechanical and electromechanical products for commercial and governmental industries.
