Press release date: March 6, 2012

New York, USA, - Astellia, a leading provider of monitoring solutions for the optimization of mobile network QoS, announced today it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract with Nii Holdings to extend its existing 2G monitoring solution to the upcoming 3G networks in Brazil and Mexico. This will ensure optimum service quality delivery from day one.

Under the agreement, Nextel Brazil and Nextel Mexico will deploy and use Astellia's end-to-end probe-based solution throughout their next-generation wireless networks. As for the other 3G networks already deployed in Peru and Chile, the Astellia solution will provide Nextel with a deeper understanding of the dependency among network equipment, subscribers, mobile devices, voice and data services. Optimization and engineering teams will be able to quickly isolate issues affecting customer experience and identify root causes, hereby providing first class customer experience to subscribers.

"Astellia has established a solid reputation within the 5 subsidiaries of the Nii Holdings by monitoring and optimizing all of our 2G and 3G networks. Astellia's monitoring solution is a key contributor in helping NII optimize and monetize traffic in a particularly complex multi-technology and multi-vendor environment", says Don McElroy, Vice President Information Technology Budget and Performance at NII Holdings.

"It is a great honor for Astellia to be confirmed as preferred partner by Nii holdings to supply their end-to-end performance monitoring solution. Astellia is proud of its value-driven relationship with Nii Holdings which has been established more than three years ago. We will continue supporting NII to help provide best customer experience to its subscribers", comments Frédéric Gonzales, Managing Director Americas at Astellia.
