ITG NFC expert faces up to audience's questions in NFC Shootout Session
Walluf, August 23, 2007 - ASSA ABLOY Identification Technologies (ITG), one of the leading providers of products and services in the RFID market, will present its portfolio of Near Field Communication (NFC) products and components including readers for public transport and corporate ID at the Mobile NFC Conference in London. From September 10th to September 12th 2007 the conference will bring together experts from mobile operators, transport authorities, banks, credit card issuers, handset manufacturers, infrastructure providers and standardization bodies. During the "NFC Shootout Session" on September 12th, Assa Abloy ITG's upcoming NFC products and services will also be presented to buyers and the jury of the "Best NFC Product" Award.
NFC technology is currently at the verge of commercialization and being deployed in several projects across Europe, e.g. the RMV2Go project in Frankfurt or the Touch&Travel project of Deutsche Bundesbahn. Mobile payment, mobile ticketing and information are just a few of the manifold usage scenarios for the new technology. During the conference and pre-conference workshops the focus lies on assessing the opportunities, technological requirements and experiences with the new technology. With its broad experience in contactless applications for Public Transport and Financial Transactions like contactless payment and ticketing, ITG is a prime partner for system integrator's to meet NFC challenges in the converging markets of payment and public transport.
"As an active member of the NFC Forum we also want to take the advantage to meet the leading players and strengthen our existing partnerships at this conference" says Rene van Ryt, Manager Business Segments Public Transport and Financial Transactions at ITG. "I'm looking forward to present our solutions to the audience and the expert jury at the NFC Shootout Session."
In the NFC Shootout Session buyers have the opportunity to assess solutions currently available, as vendors deliver 10 minute presentations about their NFC products. The audience will then be given the opportunity to question the 'pitchers' about their product, allowing the suitability of the product for a buyer's NFC business strategy to be defined. The presentations and answers during the Q&A session will be examined by a panel of judges, who will select a winner of the 'Best NFC Product Award'.
The NFC Shootout Session will take place on Wednesday, September 12th, 3:20 p.m.
The conference takes place 10-12 September 2007, Crowne Plaza London, The City, London, UK.
