Material Handling Distributors Commemorate Anniversaries
The MHEDA Journal looks back at the history of companies who have reached milestone anniversaries in 2009.
Dewitt, NY: The Fourth Quarter 2009 issue of The MHEDA Journal, the leading online magazine for the forklift, storage and handling, and general material handling equipment industries, recognizes 10 material handling equipment distributors who reached a milestone anniversary in 2009. (The magazine defines a company as celebrating a milestone anniversary if it was founded in a year ending in a 4 or a 9.) All are members of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA).
These companies are commemorating their anniversaries with employee appreciation events, holiday parties, pancake breakfasts, thank you e-mails to customers, and even, in one case, a parade. Each of the 10 companies provided both current and historical photos to showcase the history of their company in the article "Anniversary Scrapbook" in The MHEDA Journal Online at http://themhedajournal.org/content/4q09/scrapbook.php.
The profiled companies range in age from 10 years to 75 years old, with a variety of primary lines in lift trucks, engineered systems, storage & handling products, and more. The companies span the nation, from New Mexico to Texas to New York to Illinois and beyond. Each company is still thriving in the material handling equipment distribution industry and looks to celebrate many more anniversaries in the years to come.
