MELVILLE, N.Y., Nov 24, 2008 -- Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) today announced the addition of MicroSun Technologies to its line card of power products suppliers.
The agreement makes Arrow the exclusive North American distributor of MicroSun's batteries, battery packs and custom power charging solutions. MicroSun also provides design services in multiple markets, including medical, military and consumer devices.
"This agreement represents a strong relationship with MicroSun in the expanding portable power market," said Michael Calabria, vice president of marketing and product management at Arrow Electronics.
"MicroSun is committed to working with Arrow to address customers' need for reduction of design costs and product development cycle times while maintaining stringent product safety requirements," said Alan ElShafei, chief executive officer of MicroSun.
The relationship with Arrow, a leading distributor of power products and supplies in North America, provides MicroSun with valuable sales and logistical resources and support in the portable energy market on a global level. In turn, Arrow will provide customers with greater access to the lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries and battery packs that offer higher product lifecycles and serve multiple applications.
