Arnco Announces Retirement of Carolyn Harris; Names Mike Fullen National Sales Manager

Arnco, the world's largest supplier of polyurethane flatproofing fill for off-road tires, has announced the retirement of Carolyn Harris, who has had 31 years experience in the tire industry and has served as Arnco's Director of Sales since 1992.

The announcement was made by Arnco President Larry Carapellotti, who also said Mike Fullen would succeed Mrs. Harris as National Sales Manager. He added that Mrs. Harris "would be sorely missed by everyone who knows her," and pointed out that she would continue to work with Mr. Fullen on the transition until July 1. She also has agreed to serve as a part-time consultant for Arnco following her retirement.

Mrs. Harris began her love affair with the tire industry in 1976, when she left the business machine field to join Russ Chandler & Associates as an industrial tire dealer sales representative. She served as sales manager for Sterling Industrial Tire Company from 1985 through 1986, and was Vice President of Sales for Synair Corporation for six years before joining Arnco as Director of Sales. A native of Cleveland, Tennessee, she and her husband James have a grown daughter.

Mr. Fullen has more than 38 years experience in the tire industry, including 14 years as owner of his own tire dealership. He joined Arnco as Northeast Regional Sales Manager in 2000, and was given additional responsibility In November 2004 for administering Arnco University, the company's successful dealer education program. In March 2006, he was named Product & Sales Training Manager, with full-time responsibility for Arnco University and for in-house training and support of the Arnco sales team. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Fullen earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. John's University and lives in Toms River, N.J.

Arnco, founded in 1971, is located in South Gate, Calif., and has processing facilities in South Gate, Berea, Ohio and Manchester, England. The company markets several polyurethane flatproofing formulations and other products under the Arnco brand that have become widely used in steel mills, scrap yards, land fills, coal mines, factories, construction sites, aerial work platform equipment, original equipment vehicles or wherever the operating environment is hazardous to conventional pneumatic tires.

In addition to such polyurethane tire flatproofing materials as SuperFlex®, HeviDuty®, RePneu® and RePneu II®, the firm also offers the ReSeal® tire sealant and rim conditioner and the new QuikGel(TM) self-sealing polyurethane liner that provides protection from punctures up to 5/16" in diameter.

Its broad line of flatproofing materials are marketed through a worldwide network of Arnco Certified Dealers - most of them industrial tire dealers - who are extensively trained by Arnco to fill any off-road tire that has a sound casing. Arnco also is building a strong and growing OEM market, with several leading manufacturers equipping their vehicles with Arnco filled flat-free tires. Bobcat, Caterpillar, John Deere and Gehl are just some of the manufacturers now offering flat-free tires on their equipment.
