Arianespace Invests in 17 v-Series Cameras

Capture ultra-slow motion video of vehicle engines & highly-sensitive components at the launch pad

Vision Research is proud to announce that Arianespace, a world leader in commercial satellite launch services, recently purchased 17 Phantom v-Series cameras to help build on the company's excellent safety record and reinforce its dedication to exceptional technical performance and security standards.

Founded in 1980, Arianespace is a private European space consortium that has led the launch services industry with numerous operational firsts and record-setting missions. As an organization that controls over 50% of the global market share for commercial satellite launches, much of Arianespace's success is a result of their proven track record for safety, which boasts an impressive 188 of 190 successful launches to date.

Arianespace looks to build on its safety record by utilizing the 17 Phantom v-Series digital high-speed cameras to capture ultra-slow motion video of vehicle engines, umbilicals, and various other highly-sensitive components at the launch pad, which will provide a better understanding of how these systems perform during engine ignition and lift-off.
