Mount Carmel, PA - Arcos Industries, LLC has introduced two stainless steel electrodes that are engineered for welding applications involving heat and corrosion resistant materials.
Arcos 310HC is a covered electrode with a composition that is the same as deposited by E310 wires, except the carbon ranges from 0.35% - 0.45%. This product provides high strength at temperatures over 1700 degrees F. Arcos 310HC is primarily utilized for welding high alloy heat and corrosion resistant castings of the same general composition as Type HK. These include applications such as chemical and petrochemical plants and steel, cement and ceramic industries.
With a columbium-stabilized, chromium-enriched, ferritic microstructure, Arcos 409Cb and 409Nb are bare wire stainless steel electrodes used on heat and corrosion resistant steels of similar composition. They are designed for welding automotive exhaust system components such as manifolds, mufflers, catalytic converters and tubing.
Arcos 310HC is available in diameters from 3/32" - 3/16"; Arcos 409Cb/409Nb from .035" - 3/16". For more information on the Arcos 310HC covered stainless steel electrode and Arcos 409Cb and 409Nb bare wire stainless steel electrodes, contact Arcos at (800) 233-8460 or visit the website at www.arcos.us.
