Mount Carmel, PA ---Arcos Industries, LLC offers two covered stainless steel electrodes that are specially designed to weld dissimilar joints and hardenable steels.
Arcos 309H is utilized for welding similar alloys in wrought or cast form, dissimilar metals such as joining Type 304 to carbon steel, and the clad side to Type 304 clad steels. This electrode is well suited for joining Type 304 stainless steels where severe corrosion conditions exist. Arcos 309H is ideal for welding food machinery and is generally used to weld dissimilar joints and hardenable steels.
Arcos 309LMo was developed for welding stainless steels to other types of steel, for dissimilar welds between stainless steels and mild or low alloys, and for depositing buffer layers when welding acid-resisting clad steels. This electrode joins stainless Types 304L, 316L and 410 to mild or low alloy steels such as brackets and stiffeners. Arcos 309LMo also welds hardenable steels and provides a buffer layer prior to hardsurfacing.
Both electrodes are available in diameters from 3/32"- 3/16".
