CINCINNATI, OH - In a recent application Hollaender Manufacturing delivered an architectural railing system for the Grand Park Athletic Facilities in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The project architect, PMH, specifically requested a Hollaender Speed-Rail® frame with welded wire mesh infill panels for the "live-work-play" environment due to the numerous advantages the system provides.
The specific combination of a Speed-Rail frame and wire mesh infill panels provided the perfect solution for this highly visible, high traffic application. Hollaender's Duo-Shield(TM) coating process, which combines e-coating with a powdered paint top coat, in combination with anodized aluminum pipe and aluminum magnesium 535 cast aluminum fittings, provided the corrosion protection necessary for a coastal environment.
In addition to durability, the system successfully supplied architects with the desired aesthetic and safety components necessary for the park. The systems 4" x 4" square pattern accommodated the historical look they were seeking while addressing crowd control issues and allowing greater visibility for fans.
