Applied Powdercoat Holds Graduation Ceremony After Completing ETP Training using CMTC Services

Oxnard, CA - Applied Powdercoat, a Southern California leader in dry metal finishing, completed a training program funded through the Employment Training Panel (ETP) and will celebrate with a ceremony on Thursday, October 28th. The event will take place at their facility at 3101 Camino Del Sol, Oxnard CA 93030 and will consist of a plant tour at 12:30pm and a graduation service at 1:00pm.

Completion of the ETP program certifies that Applied Powdercoat successfully trained and cultivated a more efficient workforce that fosters continuous improvement.

Applied Powdercoat provides high performance, environmentally friendly powder coating services, an alternative to liquid spray painting. The company works with commercial industries and its customer base includes organizations such as Haas Automation.

The company was guided through the program by California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC), a private, nonprofit corporation which assists Southern California manufacturers become more competitive. A CMTC representative took ETP guidelines and created a customized plan for the company.

The CMTC consultant trained supervisors in areas such as Staff Motivation, Lean Operations, Continuous Improvement and Teamwork. Applied Powdercoat now works on weekly projects aimed at Visual Control and Productivity Improvements and is attaining positive results from the ongoing efforts of its employees and CMTC's structured follow-up plan.
